  • 89% of Republicans support gun background checks
  • 86% of gun-owning families support background checks. 
  • 74% of NRA members support background checks
  • 54% of the Senate supports gun background checks.
  • Amount NRA gave to Congress to keep them voting against the will of the public, from 2003 to 2012: $2,877,307
